Just get it. You'll be way happy! Cheapest price you need to pay & no need to pay more.
Wi-Fi/account setup was just a little too harder than what it should be to set up. Other than this, just get it. You'll be way happy! I believe you can use the cleaner without a wi-fi or Xiaomi account. Just press the buttons manually and set it free. The post mistress on giving me my box, recognised the package and sender, and said she bought one from here too. She looked happy and enthused for me! ha ha. It's changed the state of my bedroom for ever. I did a night's research before buying. This is the cheapest price you need to pay to get a solid good model. Online videos show it is better than much more expensive models too. A manual vacuum costs this much. Just get it.

Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner Laser Distance Sensor NIDEC Brushless Motor VM08: Easy to use. Unable to get wireless networking and advanced functions working. I purchased reconditioned but next time I would consider new because there is a squeaking noise when the robot vacuum is moving [annoying!] (I think it's the wheel that's squeaking)

It’s a solid product - works well as expected, was easy to set up and use. While the app that’s used to control this device is good, a simple enhancement that would really improve usability would be to mark exclusion areas on the floor plan for the cleaner to avoid. I think newer versions of similar cleaners have this feature. Otherwise, a good product.

Our first robot vacuum. Performs almost perfectly; minor niggle is that there is no notification when the dustbin is full. But hey...app is good, vac copes with Golden Retriever hairs & generally cleans brilliantly. Incredibly happy with it & thinking about getting a second one for downstairs. If (like us) you are not sure about getting one - get this one, it works exactly like one should.

I am still getting the hang of operating the Vac, so far so good. Cleans Tiles and short carpet very good, struggles on my thicker carpet. (not shag.) and then gets lost. Overall looks like a real good time saver.

Pleased with my Xiaomi robot vac
Only had it two weeks so interested to test longevity, and only use it on hard floors but so far it's brilliant: cheap, great coverage, does a much better job that the old Samsung (admittedly this is 5 years old now) but the Xiaomi picks up more dust that the Samsung ever did, great with sand and fur from 3 dogs and cat, battery life is good. I was a bit hesitant as I dont like buying cheap products which get thrown out as soon as the warranty expires as this is bad for the planet, and will wait to see how this performs over time.

We have set it up to clean after we have gone to work and have not set any boundaries and it cleans tiles and carpet with ease, we were amazed after the first run at the amount of lint it collected.
