Reviews"Denny had the rare ability to carry almost any song without accompaniment and one of the most breath-taking moments here comes on an exquisite 'Lowlands Of Holland' from an early Fotheringay session.", "A hugely satisfying listen as a career-spanning compilation. For the uninitiated, it’s hard to fathom how these songs, in these clothes, couldn’t ignite a curiosity around somebody whose music remains utterly, utterly captivating."

  • Sandy the Lady with the golden voice.

Sandy Denny sings from the bottom of her heart: it is impossible to refrain from crying. Such a tragedy to have one so talented and so young pass at only 31 years of age yet, she left a profound body of her own work. Most of these recordings are only demos but they are gems. Here is Sandy unplugged and raw like the emotions from which she delves to produce such honesty. Always thought it would be Joni Mitchell I would listen unto the grave but no it is Sandy Denny I return year after year for there is no end to her talent.
