this flash is great for professional work flow, I'm wedding photographer and has 2 of these in my bag all the time they can be triggered by YN rf603 triggers or the YN 560TX that has actually full control of the flash with these features give you great flexible working with lightning and easy to use the mainly drawback is the reliability of that product, but considering the price its great value for the money

Great flash gun and accessories. It's the first flash I've ever bought, but bought it to photograph a wedding, and I have to say that I was not disappointed at all. It's easy to use and gives great results! The digital display is a must have to compare readings between the flash and the camera, and makes this flash gun a pleasure to use. The only down side was the amount of batteries I went through in a day at the wedding, but this can be rectified by using more expensive and rechargeable batteries. I was using some extra life normal ones from maplin, and found the recycle time between flash dramatically increase after roughly 50-70 shots. So hence the amount of batteries I used because I didn't want to miss any shots at the wedding. Overall, this flash gun is perfect for my needs...
Bought this product because it has good reviews on a lot of websites. I bought the manual flash for my canon camera, it works great. Not TTL, the next one up is. It sits on the camera and fires or can work as a slave - it will pick up my on camera flash and fire. no extra wires or wireless needed. great for portraits and trick photography like falling drops of water. Much, much, much cheaper than Canon speedlights. Only thing missing is the automatic setting that you get with expensive flashguns that read your camera settings and alter the intensity of the flash for you. Digital costs nothing so i keep on taking the shot until i find the right 'light' A little bit of trial and error and lots of ££££'s saved. Build quality is good, even comes with its own cloth bag. I will buy more of these rather than studio lighting rigs.Read full review
The Yongnuo Speedlite YN-560 Shoe Mount Flash is definitely value for the money, the only down side for some photographers is the lack of TTL as it is manual only, then again it don't cost hundreds of £££ to buy like the branded makes. the Yongnuo Speedlite YN-560 is very easy to use and to make adjustments, it is almost identical to the canon 580 EX in size and body it has about the same power output as the 580EX you can buy an external battery pack for longer shooting times, it has a wide angle diffuser and built in reflection board it also has wireless triggering sensor. as I said there is no TTL though I have a canon 430EX ll that has TTL yet I never use this function only manual and it cost about four times the price of a Yongnuo Speedlite YN-560 Shoe Mount Flash.
This is an excellent manual flash for use with Nikon camera. I've not personally tried with Canon cameras but it should work the same as it performances with nikon. The charging time is excellent provided a good batteries. It takes 1-2 seconds to charge and the amount light it can throw is excellent. It covers a lot of area. The buttons are easy to understand and precise. The motorised zoom functions come very handy. You can jump from 28mm to 135mm zoom straight away with a touch of a button. Overall I think this an excellent manual flash as compared to those expensive ones and its a great value for money.
Have to say I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it. Always been faithful to the known brands but took the gamble as I kill flashes very quickly. I was surprised when I started using this flash as it's actually very good. The lack of ETTL was awkward at first but the quick recycle of the flash means that you're only a couple of test shots away from having it perfectly set up. At full power this flash is incredibly bright and handled taking photos in 0 light without any issues. The built in diffuser works nicely and the overall quality of the flash is excellent. I've still got my first set of batteries in it and there's no sign of slowing on the recycle and I've used it a lot. Can safely say it's performing much better than my Sigma flash. Will be ordering a 2nd!
This is a really great flash for a affordable price. Rotating head is a little stiff, but it is not a big problem. Also, it is just a little too big (compared with Nikon SB600). But, compared with Nikon flashes, this is cheap solution for building your own multiple-flash system. Paired with yongnuo wireless triggers, works just great. I gave 4 stars only because I don't know how long it will last when I use it in weddings and similar situations.

Hello! My name is Alexey. I'm from Russia. I bought this because the flash has decided to save money and buy expensive flash Canon 580. Pulse power of these outbreaks is the same, but the price is significantly different. As I photograph without TTL, the choice was obvious. I do not like two things in this outbreak. Lack of infrared grid and there is no fixing the rotary head. Wearing a diffuser type banks head rotates under load Used together with Canon 5D markII. Sorry... translator.
I bought two of these and one has failed me already after only a few times use. I previously owned two other Yongnou flashes both has also failed though not as quick as the last one. Its a very usefull tool - if and when it works.

I've had the version 1 of this speedlite and I was very happy with it. This however does surprise me how better it actually is than it's previous version, it's better build quality and over all performance is better. It's a great speedlite with lots of manual control and it's not difficult to operate due to the simple menu and controls. Very easy, powerful and valuable flash, very happy with it.
