The length of the cable is correct as far as I can tell. I still have the plenum or air intake and air separator out of the engine compartment along with the throttle body which is where the cable terminates Grommets were all the correct size/shape for direct fit, however... Unless I am less familiar with the slug (piece that sits in grooves or recessed space) to pull the throttle plate open or to let it close) I removed a cable that has a ball shaped slug where as this replacement has a barrel shaped one. Used a Dremel rotary tool to cut a bit off of each side of the barrel. When I tested to see if there was any chance of it coming loose during normal driving circumstances it seems as though that would be impossible as long as the rest of the cable is installed correctly which will be the case as I am the one who will be. 330K miles and still strong.
