I was asked to write a review of a recent purchase...why I bought it, etc...I lived in Thailand in 1974. In those days, one baht bought you a ride to anywhere in town on a baht bus which was a Toyota truck with a high shell and benches in the back. One baht would also buy you a Coke in a sandwich baggy with ice and a straw stuck through the baggy. I was putting together some items in a case that I had left over from the Thailand adventure and the Vietnam War and thought I would include a baht. The case also includes the chevrons from my jungle fatigues, my Geneva Convention Card, an old POW/MIA bracelet, etc. I thought the one baht would be an interesting addition.
The coin is in attractive condition and has small starting price. The discovery, that garuda, being a dragon slayer, in fact represents the Sun during the total solar eclipse, makes this coin very remarkable.

Interesting issue of the country with Garuda. Representing the total solar eclipse the Bird in fact proves the Egiptian origin of the Myth about it. Nice condition of the coin is a plus for any collection.
