This item is fully tested, but when recording over a tape and playing back, you could hear the original audio from the tape with the new sound over it. If you record silence onto the tape and play it back, you can still hear the old audio on the tape only slightly quieter. Item will come with a 30 Day Warranty. Cosmetically in good condition showing minor scuffs / scratches / blemishes from previous use. Includes Stereo Cassette Deck 3 Ferrite Heads as pictured. exactly as stated. what it is and parts or repair.
these kenwood kx1030's are well built tape machines. excellent sound quality play and record. only flaws it can have noisy mylar capacitors in dolby circuit. "record and play" and dificult to troubleshoot if no experience with this problem. back tension felt pad on erase head needs fluffed up after so many hours to record properly. only weakness this tape deck has.

The Next best Kenwood machine KX-1030
3 heads and off-tape monitoring, mechanical 3 digit tape counter and memory stop, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome belt driven single-capstan transport. a good machine for recording and playing cassette tapes.

Perfect replacement.
Exact replacement for the one I had in that same deck but one difference. The date on the motor was one week earlier . I had to adjust the speed by ear , so far it sounds spot on . Taped "Wish You Were Here " with a known time , timed the tape and got it within two seconds . Sounded great . Thank you .
