Fat, fun, and nicely balanced.
I received a pair of these as a gift and 2 years later, decided to try. What a surprise. They're light, nicely balanced, a little shorter than my favorite Regal tip 5bx, but equally as enjoyable. Beautifully weighted, strong attack and no bending of the shaft during heavy riding. 45 years behind the kit, I play all styles of music, with traditional grip. You can choke up a little and play lightly, while the stick "Works" the balance on it's own, providing nice pendulum play. You can rock these puppys hard and they just feel right. Very different from the Regal 5Bx's, which naturally are thinner and a bit longer, but equally gratifying..lovem'...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

thicker sticks,though would last
I always used pro mark 5a in hard oak.....I wanted to try a thicker stick but keep the weight less...the oaks are a heavier stick...so I bought these vic firth 2bn, hickory....thicker than 5a's, they felt and feel great playing....except they BOTH lasted 1 gig...3 sets and both sticks broke right at the tip ends within 3 songs of each other, I played for 3 songs with left hand a 5a and right hand a the 2bn....I was disappointed ,I though the thicker stick would last, I can get 3 gigs with the oaks...I will try 2b in a different company see what happens....but these sticks felt great and were balanced well.......Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
