DNJ Oil Pump is Flawed and prone to failure
I've purchased three of these from different sellers so far. The DNJ oil pump doesn't have the correct tolerances to work in a 7m motor. I found this out the hard way as my first DNJ pump's drive gear was chewed off by the other gear. This led to my motor ceasing. After starting to rebuild my 7m again, I installed both of the DNJ pumps in the short block and ran them with some oil. BOTH OF THEM made a mechanical sound of the gears clunking together. Then I threw in my old ASIN pump and it was quiet, with no mechanical sound. This confirms my theory that the DNJ oil pump gear is somehow incorrectly manufactured and WILL cause a failure in any motor that this pump is installed in. I Recommend either getting an ASIN pump or just ditching the 7m over getting this DNJ pump. The photos are of the oil pump that failed on me
