Fitting up could be made easier.
This product should be sold with a fuel pocket customized for proper fit. Took a bit of fine tuning of the OEM fuel pocket to make a good fit. The four mounting screws to secure the door to the pocket should be a bit longer. Include a plastic rather than paper drilling template for the fuel pocket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lock erodes and breaks within 1yr
Very very disappointed in this fuel door. Comes with a 1yr warranty for a reason…the tumbler locking mechanism erodes after a year and a month. I waited to make this review because I just cleaned out the pitting from the lock a few times and got it to work but it’s gotten to the point where it is unrepairable and of course the warranty on it is up. For $200+ I would expect a much longer life out of it. So what, I should buy a $200 fuel door every year? Garbage, overpriced product. Would also be nice if you could have the option of locking it or not, but if you don’t lock it, it swings open around every corner. Absolutely not worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Over-priced Fizzle.
Requires additional purchase of newer type filler neck pocket housing bezel (should be included.) Additional filler neck pocket had to be modified to accomodate bolt heads on fuel door hinge. Regardless, included paper template (for marking holes that must be drilled precisely for screw placement as well as ensuring Hummer badge on fuel door ends up horizontal) is useless. Also, supplied screws are absolutely too short to go through pocket housing material and fasten to fuel door. Either the whole concept was poorly engineered or was engineered for one use, i.e. door fastened directly to sheet metal with screws on outboard side, then re-purposed to sell existing stock. All way too tenuous an application and way too darn expensive for unsatisfactory results. At this price point, should be sold as kit with required filler neck pocket housing bezel (with pre-drilled holes) and screws of sufficient length.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
