A good reference guide to tailoring a jacket.
This book has very useful information on many different aspects of tailoring a jacket, and has many helpful tips. I bought this book because I wanted some information on interfacing and lining, and it really did help me decide on which was the best product to use for my project, although there is so much more information on all aspects of tailoring a jacket or coat, and it is a great reference guide to anyone new to tailoring. It is not a step by step guide from the start to finish of the jacket, but it has all the information about linings, interfacings, fabrics, tools, collars, pockets, buttonholes and more. This is the first book I have on tailoring a jacket, and I found it to be very clear and concise. I would recommend this book. (I have also ordered Illustrated Guide to Sewing-Tailoring by Skills Institute Press).Read full review

Great Tailoring book
I've been sewing for 30+ years and this is a wonderful book with lots of tips and techniques for getting perfect results. It is well written with clear pictures. A great addition to my sewing library.

A vital reference for every sewist with advancing skills - tried and true - with instructions that are clear and sufficiently illustrated with photos, that make it easy to pick up at any point in your sewing project and get from 'how to' to 'know how' without delay. Its my first reference choice in the sewing room.
