The game is how I feel Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and/or 2 would be on snow. There are snow skates in it which is a small snowboard with rubbery grip tape so you don't have to strap into it. (So you can do heelflips or kickflips). The game also has bonus challenges like challenge a Pro snowboarder, knock over 5 snowmen in each run and so much more. This game was incredible when it came out and it still holds true today. This is one of VERY FEW games you can play at 720p (widescreen) on the XBox original. You need the component cables (blue, red, green along with the audio cables of red and white). Also known as Y/Pb/Pr. Or you can get the HDMi converter for the XBox original. The backwards compatible XBox 360 runs on HDMi anyways so it will play the game at 720p stock. The game has major replayability and is one of the foundation games for extreme sports in the 2000s. I Love this game. Read full review

Amped 2 is quite possibly the best snowboarding game made. Gravity driven physics gives it a unique play style. Similar to skate. Very fun

Amped 2 was definitely designed by some dedicated people. It is a great single ane multi player game. Amped 2 has better graphics then some well known xbox 360 games and has extremely fast load times. You can customize your player down to the color of his goggles. The mountains, snow, trees, and other terrain are very realistic. The mountains they used for the game were also picked perfectly. My favorites include Mt. Hood and Bear Mountain. As a big time snowboarder this game meets my every expectation for a video game that isn't too unbelievable. The tricks performed are almost all 100% possible in real life but extras like insanely long combos are made possible to make the game more exciting. I have played this game for hours single player and multi player and it never gets old. My only complaint is the level of difficulty on the single player photo shoots in career mode.Read full review
My 8 yr. old daughter loves it because there are tricks that she can master that are not too difficult, but yet there are still tricks for her to learn as she gets better. It is also great because you can play with a partner on a split screen, so it's fun to play with a friend or parent. It is very entertaining (different slopes to choose from) and even fun for parents who never play Xbox. I can actually do some of the tricks without having to play all the time, therefore I'm not frustrated while playing. My daughter also likes being able to change the clothing, hair, snowboard, etc... on the girl or boy snowboarder that she has choosen. Overall it is a fantastic game that I would highly recommend.
This is the best snowboarding game to be released for any system ever. Yes, it is better than amped 3. The controls are so clever; left thumbstick controls spins/flips and the right thumbstick controls grabs. Depending which direction you move the thumbsticks the grabs/spins and fiips will change. The career mode is really fun as well. Some of the challenges are really hard and it's really tough to beat the entire game but it's very fun and I still play the game after years of having it. I've owned 3 copies of the game due to it getting broken or losing it. It's impossible for me to not own the game now. There are tons of different ways to go down the mountain and I am still finding new stuff out even after a few years of playing the game. As a snowboarder I can tell you it is the most realistic game in respect to the way the boarder spins/grabs and grinds. Granted the distance you can travel in the air and grind on rails is a bit exaggerated. Overall it is one of the best games I have ever played and I HIGHLY recommend it!Read full review
