The Nintendo Game Boy Advance is powered by two AA batteries and accepts rechargeable batteries, rechargeable battery packs, and AC power through an adapter. The system operates for up to eight hours of continuous usage on a single charge. It has a 16.78 MHz ARM7TDMI CPU for its central processor and an 8 or 4 MHz Z80 coprocessor for backward compatibility. The Z80 processor automatically activates and switches to the correct MHz rating when it detects the presence of Game Boy Color or original Game Boy games upon booting of the machine. The ARM7TDMI CPU is optimized for sprites and displays up to 50 of them on the screen at a time. It has a 240x160 (HQVGA) pixel resolution with Custom 2D core 32-bit graphics, although it is also capable of displaying basic "Mode 7" style 3D in some games. Pixels are sharp and crisp and represent a full RGB color palette. The LCD screen is lit by ambient light, increasing the longevity of the batteries. The "landscape" form factor is designed for long-term comfort, with the D-pad, buttons, and shoulder buttons located for optimal ergonomics. The Advance is capable of playing thousands of games on cartridge. Due to its popularity and longevity, a large number of accessories and add-ons were introduced. The e-reader attachment enables play of classic Nintendo software on the system via data cards, and some cartoons are available via special video cartridges. Third party support is also strong, with front lighting kits and external lights being widely available. Due to the system's power, a large number of games from the NES and SNES library were also ported to the system. The graphical power of the system is equivalent to the SNES, although its 32-bit nature allows the display of more and more vibrant colors, as demonstrated on many original pieces of software developed for the system. Seems to work perfectly
Played a little bit of the game to test it out it seems to work completely fine with no glitches and reads the cartridge fine too. Would definitely recommend especially for the value as well. The only thing I could say is there was some battery acid inside the battery compartment but that's easily cleanable.if the game doesn't read just make sure to reinsert and push it in all the way.

it's a gameboy advance, it's a blast

Oh, my stars and garters! Let me tell you about this dandy contraption called the GameBoy Advance. It's a real hoot and a holler! I reckon it's got more fun packed into it than a barn dance on a Saturday night. First off, it's so light and portable, just like those days when we'd skip rope in the yard. Fits right in my purse, dearie! And the buttons, bless my soul, they're easy on these old arthritic fingers. No fuss or muss, just good old-fashioned gaming. The screen, oh my stars, it's clear as a country creek on a summer day. The games look sharper than grandma's favorite knitting needles. I've been playing that Pokémon game, and I feel like a young 'un again, setting off on an adventure. And the battery life! I can play for hours without worrying about running out of steam. Just like the Energizer bunny, this GameBoy keeps going and going. All in all, this GameBoy Advance is a peach of a gaming device. A classic!
I remember having one of these when I was younger. I would spend hours on this thing. Game boy was exactly as pictured. Sharpie on the housing, which was fine, as I planned on replacing it after installing a backlit screen anyways. But most importantly, it works! Packed very well, love the additional Business Card. At first I got scared when I put a gba and a gbc game in and it just had the “Gameboy” screen with a very pixilated Nintendo logo but then I realized that the batteries were low and now it works just like how it does on my gba (the one with the toys r us logo). There are a lot of little dings on the screen but it could be fixed. Great purchase. My little brother is going to be very pleased!
