I have a S5511T which is the fourth of this "family" of 'phones I have owned over about 10 years; they are reliable and durable but I give them a very hard life as a farmer and I always manage to destroy them, generally by dropping them, usually into the water, but also onto hard surfaces. The C5220 (one model earlier) was a better 'phone thn the S5511T in my view for 2 reasons. 1. Because I could check the time without having to open the 'phone by simply pressing one of the side keys and the time appeared on the cover. 2. Because the the alarm on the C5220 can be set and forgotten, whilst on the S5511T it has to be reset every time.
The main thing I liked about this phone is that you can attach an aerial to it to get better coverage in remote areas. You do have to purchase a patch lead suitable for this phone to attach to the aerial. Most phones these days do not have a place for an aerial to be attached to the phone.
I rate this phone highly as it is the one my Partner has mastered and she isn't a "Tech head"!! Its 'old school' and simple in operation, small and portable and keeps a charged battery for a week easy! I use a 'smart' phone and it is my preference, but, I have one of these for work on the farm out in the weather, so far, though fallen into mud from my top pocket, rained on etc, it continues to serve. We got this one at a very good price and will probably buy some more for the cupboard for future use. The missus is rapt with it,and that's all that matters ;-)
