The positive ratcheting function won't allow you to over shift and miss a gear at that critical moment, along with the reverse lockout and neutral safety switch that meets NHRA/IHRA safety rules for those weekend grudge races at the track. The look and feel of the T-handle and accordion style shift boot really shows off the racing heritage of the MegaShifter.
