This is a great product and worked just as intended for me. Twin pack came in retail packaging. Use one for each side. They do get very hot during operation so be mindful of that. Easy installation and solves indicator blink speed
The resistors are of a good solid build quality with fabric-wrapped leads and cast or machined metal housing. Installation is in parallel with the LED light, not in serial as with other resistors. The resistor does become quite warm during prolonged operation (eg waiting in traffic to turn), though this is an expected result of the resistance provided. Though the installation instructions indicate to install on a metal surface, this is not required for operation and is instead to prevent damage to plastic or fibreglass surfaces from the heat produced by the resistor. Cable-taps which cut into an existing indicator cable to provide connection to the resistor are included but use is optional, screws are not included. The intended use case for this resistor is to replace a single 21w incandescent indicator globe with an LED indicator.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
