The OBDLinks MX+ is the best OBD reader/writer I have owned (this is the 5th I have had in the past 10 years) Certainly the Bluetooth transfer speeds are fast enough to handle the most complex testing. My current use is with AlphaOBD software on Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 vehicles. Whether pair with a security bypass cable on 2018+ or direct in on 2014-2017 all the critical functions are able to be programmed. From clearing codes, diagnosing errors, customising user settings, fixing suspension levels, charging tire dimensions, fixing Speedo errors…etc etc the OBDLink MX+ never misses a beat. Throughly recommended product. Are their cheaper ELM chipset devices? YES Can they handle the speed and do all the same functions? NO PAY ONCE use always.. just get it and you will never worry again about those expensive trips to the dealer to clear a simple code, caused by a low battery level. Stick on the side of the road late at night in limp mode? Plug this in and clear the error and get home safely.(reliant on how catastrophic the fault is) Read full review

I have a Samsung Galaxy 22 note, down loaded app but have connection problems from the start .Would not connect or stay connected, Came up with a warning not to have Cellphones or other electrical devices near it ... WTF it runs with a cell phone or tablet is recommended. Very disappointed as reviews were great but now looking into it these are common problems. My advice DON'T BUY ONE ! They are not worth the time or the money

Bought it for removing the service spanner light on my mates Triumph motorcycle. It did exactly that and a little more with the use of Tune Ecu. I have also used it on dozens of cars now and found it worked on all of them and simply just did what it claimed to do. I have a G-Scan ,G-Scan-2, and a Carman VG plus as well as a whole swag of hand held scanners and dongles and software's and found the OBDLink MX+ to do most minor jobs and so keep it handy at all times and is now my go to device. It will never replace my main machines but now use it extensively simply for the convenience. I have no doubt it will work great for thousands of other vehicles with the appropriate software and supporting hardware. My only issue is the cost of this device as there is no more than a few dollars worth of components inside just like hundreds of other similar devices with only the difference that this one does actually work and works very well. This one is a keeper and I would have no problems replacing it if lost or left in a car. I give this device top marks for build quality, reliability and compatibility.Read full review

Nice rugged design; has the standard codes, software is good; I still need another OBD11 though for my VW due to the codes that only VW use; I use a OBD Eleven for that. It doesn't like Dashcommand that much; can take 3 or 4 tries to get it to see the unit; once you sync up though it is fine.

I brought this to use with Harry’s Lap-timer, which it easily connects with. But with the free app it also can check codes on both our cars. Very happy with the purchase.
