Necessary reading to have a balanced view of a wicked topic in our country .
This book presents a balanced alternative view to Bruce Pascoe's Dark Emu - It does not degrade the capacitary and knowledge of the inhabitants of this continent at the time of the European settlement but sets it in an objective assessment of the necessary skills the people had to exist in our harsh land
