The Fujifilm EF-42 external flash provides illumination to help you to achieve optimal lighting conditions, making this an excellent addition to your collection of photography accessories. With a clip-on design and locking ring, your Fuji device will remain securely attached to your camera. This Fujifilm-compatible accessory can help you bring out the clarity and sharpness of photographs with a color temperature of approximately 5600k. The Fuji shoe mount and various controls are easy to use, and they offer intuitive functionality to the photographer. These EF-42 accessories can be used either directly on your compatible digital cameras or mounted onto their own tripods. This product acts as a useful complement to your existing Fuji camera setup, allowing you to produce side, back, or top illumination. This unit communicates directly with your camera through a direct mount connection or with a transmitter through a compatible wireless radio-signal device that can be held in one hand. With a 3.5-second refresh time, this is a great choice for long photo shoots that require a large number of shots. The compatible DSLR 35mm cameras for this Fuji accessory include the X-T2, X-T1, and X-Pro2. Some functions are also available for other X-Series cameras equipped with this hot shoe. The LCD screen on the back of the flash provides a wealth of information. Here you will find the focal-length format as well as the focal length. Indicators shown on screen are auto OK, wide panel, integrated flash range, battery life ratio, and exposure compensation. Additional data concerning modes include the flash control, zoom, and exposure compensation/power ratio. This Fuji has manual-mode control with TTL-metering support. The TTL flash control automatically adjusts the output for optimal brightness. It also responds to changes in the digital camera settings, allowing shutter speeds slower than the sync speed. Manual controls are unaffected by reflections, making it a great choice for pictures of highly reflective or unreflecting subjects. Light can be bounced off a ceiling or wall in TTL mode. Offering 1/1 to 1/64 power with the added compensation from -1.5 to 1.5 EV in 1/2 EV steps creates a one-of-a-kind Fuji experience. The front AF-assist lighting allows for focus operation if the shutter button is pressed halfway down. A recycle time of 3 to 3.5 seconds at full charge while using four AA batteries adds to this device's responsiveness. Fully charged batteries will produce approximately 220 to 240 flashes. While shooting photos in the dark or a dimly-lit environment, the infrared-assist light automatically illuminates to enable the autofocus. The device continues to pull from the batteries after the displays have turned themselves off automatically. It requires manual shut-off to preserve optimal battery power. However, this also means that the flash can be ready to go whenever you need it to capture a shot. This device's bounce-flash facility gives you up to 90 degrees of vertical movement and 0 to 180 degrees of movement to the left. Great flash for a fuji film mirrorless. Its light and compact to a degree. Compared to a dslr flash and it cycle almost instantly with a used unit. So new it might amazing. The flash doesn't work because...
The flash doesn't work because though it had been advertised it as being in like new condition it was actually in a disgusting and poorly cared for condition. The flash has heavy corrosion in the battery chamber. The flash came with old batteries in the chamber. The outside of the flash was scratched and had A weird residue on it.
