The Vivitar Series 1 43-58W is a wide-angle lens, which uses autofocusing and could be attached both to digital still and video cameras that come equipped with 58 mm filter threads. The Vivitar lens enhances the camera's original lens by offering an improved view enlarging the lens by 0.43x and thus enabling a wider angle for shooting vast panoramas of landscapes or macros of colorful flowers, for example. The design of the Vivitar Series 1 43-58W is made of steel barrel and its autofocusing speed is extremely fast. The high definition wide-angle lens is suitable for consumers who like good quality both in macro and fish eye photos. Moreover, the Vivitar lens is infrared compatible being suitable for using with infrared films and therefore able to create interesting effects on photos. The dimensions of the Vivitar Series 1 43-58W are 3.5 inches by 3.3 inches by 3.3 inches and it weighs 8 oz whereas its diameter is 62 mm. If you have a crappy kit lens, this improves it
