With its day/night vision technology you are always able to see what is going on around the clock, even in no-light conditions. The D-Link DCS-942L webcam promotes a two-way audio function, giving you the freedom to listen to any conversation taking place within the room. A built-in speaker ensures you have the option of talking directly to anyone as you wish. The D-Link web camera features a high-quality VGA CMOS sensor for excellent image quality and built-in IR LEDs to capture video in low-light environments, or even complete darkness. The D-Link web camera allows you to send snapshots or video clips to your email address or FTP server. This webcam also features motion detection with a built-in PIR sensor. The D-Link hardware features a fixed viewing length of 3.15 millimeters, an aperture of F2.8, and wide-angle viewing capabilities. You have an angle of view range from a height of 45.3 degrees, viewing angle of 34.5 degrees, and a depth angle of 54.9 degrees. With an exposure time of 1/3.75 to 1/14640 second, you never miss a captured frame. A 4x digital zoom and five-meter IR illumination distance sheds light on every image that passes within its perimeter. The device comes preloaded with a built-in infrared-cut removable (ICR) filter module. The D-Link DCS-942L offers ease of use to all customers. The wireless 802.11n connection lets you install the camera anywhere for easy monitoring and recording. The device software features WPS support for Wi-Fi capabilities and UPnP and DDNS support. The motion detection camera features a real-time H.264, MPEG4, and MJPEG compression for easy viewing. The D-Link webcam comes enabled with mydlink so you can check on your camera anytime, anywhere. View and manage your wireless camera through the mydlink-enabled website after easy password-protected setup of your mydlink account. This D-Link device supports the mydlink Lite and enhanced mydlink-plus apps for remote viewing on your mobile device. System requirements for the D-Link enabled Web interfaces include Microsoft Windows 8, 7, or Vista, or Mac OS X 10.6 or higher operating systems. The mydlink features work best with Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 12, Safari 6, or Chrome 20 or higher with Java installed and enabled browsers. Easily connect your webcam wirelessly or by Ethernet to your supported network setup. There is a microSD card slot contained within the D-Link web cameras, as well as a 10/100 BASE-TX Ethernet port, allowing you to record video within the camera itself. As good as I expected
I have several of these that I've purchased at different times. They are simple/easy to setup and with the config app can be configured to motion sensing just for a "select" area of the picture. Works well for me needs as a simple security camera. Night vision is so-so. Your mileage will vary depending upon lighting. Straight up night vision is, at best, weak. I have notice that the post on the back of the camera which mounts to the based is sometime metal and sometimes plastic. The plastic ones are bad...send them back. They don't mount or adjust well. The metal ones work well. The ability to remotely view with the My Dlink app or website is nice and convenient to see it packages have been dropped off. These are not make for outdoors however I use three of them outdoors under some cover and they have held up find for several years. I live in the mid-west with lots or rain, snow, and ice. These cameras are great. Easy to set up and easy to use. I love how it sends alerts straight to your phone. The only trouble I had was when it went into the night vision mode it would reflect off the glass from inside and you couldn't see anything. I had to mount them outside because of this. Ability to record video
The camera is a good value. The ability to record video via the micro sd card was an important factor in my decision to purchase this camera. Claim to be « refurbished » but can’t see the difference with a new one. Easy setup online and user friendly apps. The 45 deg. Viewing angle seems too narrow and would benefit to be wider. Attached is a sample picture I took with it.

I have a few of these already and I'm about to buy a few more. The only word of caution I can issue is that this camera can ONLY be setup with the dlink install software if you wish to use it on your phone. Other than that it's absolutely perfect.
