The Nikon Speedlight SB 910 is designed for FX and DX-format D-SLRs and COOLPIX P7000 Series cameras. Where this Speedlight Flash really shines is its versatility as a hot shoe mounted Speedlight, remote unit, or wireless Commander. When using CLS compatible D-SLRs, the Nikon Speedlight SB 910 makes handy, wireless programming work for up to three groups of other flash sets. Sporting guide numbers of 34 m (111.5 ft) for standard ISO 100, and 48 m (157.5 ft) for ISO 200, the Nikon Shoe Mount Flash masters the shooting scene. At full output, the Speedlight Flash shines for 1/880 s, down to 1/38500 s at 1/128 output. Convenient to power with AA-size batteries, the Nikon Speedlight SB 910 also takes supplemental SK-6, SD-9, or SD-8A battery packs for extended occasions. With a simple graphical user interface for programming, wireless remote control, and advanced protection against overheating, the Nikon Speedlight SB 910 is a dream for the serious photographer.

Very capable and powerful speedlight
I’ve been a great fan of Nikon speedlights and have used many of them over the years. The 910 has a superb range of features and is very flexible. It’s ability to communicate with other flash units and cameras allows very creative lighting. The only minor frustration has been an inability to select rear curtain flash when using the strobe or repeat flash mode, which I have used extensively in wildlife photography to reveal the movement of animals at night. That plus a small and rather fiddly on-off switch, which is very difficult to operate with gloved hands, are all that prevent a 5 star rating. It is a superb flash unit.

Nikon SB-910 Flash hard working and reliable Flash . now out of production
The Nikon 910 is a great Flash . preforms as it should with out any dramas . With the right batteries it will recycle quickly and carry on working hard till the last drop of power. The TTL is a suberb tool and can get you out of arkward shoots . The only down side is they dont make it any more. so if you see a SH one get it.

Professional quality flashgun
The SB910 may be the last pro grade flash to be made in Japan. It combines almost every feature anyone would need with superb reliability. I think the only feature missing is wireless triggering of other flashguns but if all you need is a camera mounted flash the 910 represents great value for money.
