From songs that are spiritually uplifting, to the insanely poignant... her voice is truly evocative, as is the music which accompanies them. And she conveys all effortlessly ... I once watched her sing a classic Motown song, live, "Heatwave", and have been hooked ever since... but time before then I had heard a song called "one of us" ... a pop-rock song ... mainstream, and non-mainstream. all at once... a song, unique and intriguing, stops one, as one asks a mighty question ... a scary one... and it has etched in my mind ever since ... there have been times the words of the song would come to me even as all around was unrelated, and there have been times I would be listening to other singers, yet "One of us" would somehow weave its way in and replace the other song... and this album, Relish, touches very much on the spiritual, lost love, painful love, and the healing and growth from it.Read full review

I bought this principally for the single "One of Us" but was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the album. There is a great cover of Dylan's "The Man in the Long Black Coat".There isn't a bad song on the album.Joan has a great voice and delivery and there is some great guitar work on all tracks.I would thoroughly recommend this album.

This is a brilliant album. I first got to like the music of Joan Osborne through her collaborations with Jackie Greene in rock concert and particularly in the group Trigger Hippy and it surprised me to find that my taste has expanded towards music of a more general appeal.
