Very sturdy yet stylish
I acquired this hard drive due to the large files I use to work and it's great so far. I work on a process plant and I knew that I needed a reinforced chassis with water and dust resistant but comfortable to carry with me on the field. Comparing with other rugged brands like Adata, Western Digital and Sandisk, this Silicon Power is a steal! The color blue makes it look sophisticated, device is (kinda) light for the protection level it offers, speeds are not that good (It's not SSD so keep it in mind) but for the price tag and features it's a purchase I recommend to everyone if you're looking for a portable hard drive with advanced protection against the elements.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best Hard Drive on the market
After going through dozens of the regular hard drives, I have settled on these. I now have 3 of them and they are the only ones that have lasted very long. My oldest is about 4 years old and still going strong. They are well worth the little extra money they cost as they are water proof and very shock resistant. Portablility for a small spaces,
Although, the silicon power 1B protable external hard drive is an excellent buy and user friendly. The area for the jack fitting into the product became damaged (loosened) it was rendered useless and my pc couldn't read files or store them at all, which prompted me to purchase a new one. I had a problem with the old one the reason for this buy. I am pleased with the product, and have recommended it to a friend. which he bought as well for storage of over 800,000 records.
