This is one of the great, action flicks in the history of action flicks. Too bad the sequels were not so good. The Matrix is a movie that must be watched more than once to completely understand it. You get more details after every watch. It's too bad, also, that Sean Connery passed on this movie. There's no telling how much better it may have been. All told, The Matrix is one of the best. I had The Matrix on an old DVD but wanted to upgrade to Blu-ray for my newer, home theater set-up.
