Capacity Development in the public service of Tanzania has the genesis and historical perspective dating back from the colonial era to the time of gaining independence from the British in the nineteen sixties into systemic development that exists today. The various capacity interventions undertaken has either been outside induced or internally developed depending on what has worked or not elsewhere . Capacity as a word is widely used and defined differently depending on the area of interest. This book has provided highlights into certain aspects of capacity studies, commitments and declarations, capacity development support, and the complexities and its limitations.
