  • First Book To Read On DV

If you are going to read a single book on DV.......make it this one. Buy several copies and give one copy to any woman you know/suspect is in a DV relationship. Compelling and easy to read, and unfortunately still relevant today.

  • Freedom

I haven't read the entire book yet , but what I have read has been so insightful. It really has brought perspective to my abusive marriage of 29 yrs. The authors honesty and ability to explain the mind of abusive and angry men is really helping me. One of the issues I battled with constantly was " is it just me? Am I going crazy?" Lundy Bancroft has really made me realise that no it wasn't me. It's what abusive men do that makes a woman feel like that. Thank you so much for writing this book. A must read if you've come from an emotionally abusive relationship. Another book I found extremely helpful was " the emotionally destructive marriage" by Leslie Vernick. Another brilliant author on the topic of different kinds of anise in a relationship.

  • Understanding Abuse

This book helped me understand what was going on in my relationship when I didn't realise that I was being abused, My therapist recommened it to me. If I had not have read this I would still be thinking that the problem was one thing and that the problem could be fixed, when the real reason is completely different.
