  • Only strings I will ever use

I've been using Elixir strings for 15 years now. I was always an electric player and have always been amazed with the sound, feel, and durability of Elixir electric guitar strings. Over the course of the past year or so, I have been playing solely acoustic with my Washburn Rover travel guitar. I initially tried the 80/20 ultra light gauge strings and those sounded and felt amazing, but after using the phosphor bronze ultra light strings, I'm in heaven on my little guitar. It feels like an electric and the sound is very bright. Sounds wonderful with my Black Tusq nut, saddle, and bridge pins. Killer combo. Elixir for life!

  • My Prefered Strings for my GS Mini Hog

There's not much to say other than to convey my own experience and opinion. I use the Elixir 16002 strings on my Taylor GS Mini guitar. I love the sound and the color of the phosphor bronze. They do last. I hope that offsets the extra cost. The extra lights are two gauges lighter than Taylor recommends, but they feel better and bend easier. The guitar may have a little reduced volume but it's not problematic and it still sounds great. It's also a lot more fun to play. Guitarists have their own preferences so my comments may be moot, unless you're experimenting with variations. In that case, the Elixir 16002's are well worth trying at least once. The Elixirs are my preference.

  • Elixir quality

I tried a lot of different strings in my 38 years of playing guitar, and to date I have not had a set of strings that maintains their tone and feel for such a long period of time. Yes they are a little more pricey than other non-coated strings, but so worth it, since they will outlast other strings by months, and months. Really a great product, and I highly recommend them to amateur players, as well as the pros!

  • Another Win

I've always been impressed with Elixirs but this is the first time I've tried extra lights. What can I say? It's the same great string only softer yet. I tune down a half step and they are great for bending ect. I was a little concerned about stability, but no worries, they stay tuned beautifully and the tone is still quite full. This is worth considering if you wish to reduce fret wear and have a more 'electric' feel on your acoustic. I will stick with extra lights now that I have tried these Elixirs.

  • Elixir strings

I like them because they are easy on the fingers They have good tone They last a long time under normal wear What I don’t like about them is that they cost more than a lot of other good brands

  • Acoustic strings I don't hate

I am an electric or nylon string player. I generally cannot stand acoustic strings but i like this set. The nano webbing really cuts down in the gritty squeakiness of the strings. The gauge is light enough to be comfy for a regular human while still fitting the bridge settup that comes in most acoustics. If your a new player or an electric player I recommend these

  • The Right Match for Cedar topped Acoustic

I have found that the Elixir Phosphor Bronze nanoweb strings work quite well with cedar top acoustic/electric guitars. Seems that they feel smooth and sound right and last a good while.

  • Awesome

I've used them all after 29 years of playing guitar. Elixers are the longest lasting and toughest strings ever. I do alot of high bends and only broke one bottom e string out of 50 packs of them between 3 guitars I got.
