I am a podcaster and I use these during the show. These headphones are high quality as far as this price range goes. I've had better in a professional studio, but If you want comfortable, lightweight, quality audio monitors, at a low price, these are a good choice.

The sound quality is much worse compared to the same model I bought at Walmart 6-7 years ago for $20. In fact, the sound is so different that it feels like you are listening to mono rather than stereo. The reason I was going after this particular set, because it's hard to find a pair of headphones with a longer 2m cord. I ended up taking the frail parts from the two of these pairs I purchased and used them to fix the ear pads and the head band on my old, better sounding MDR-V150. I wouldn't recommend buying them unless you don't care about the sound quality.

Well first off, these aren't Sony, they're knockoffs. They look and feel really cheap. The audio isn't very good, so don't bother going to other sites and looking up reviews of Sony MDR V150, because this isn't it. This is the equivalent of those cheapie Coby headphones you buy on the corner for a fiver because you can't be bothered to buy a decent pair of headphones and in a rush to go home because your headphones just broke. If you're looking for Sony MDR-V150, DONT BUY THIS If you're looking for some studio entry headphones-DONT BUY THIS If you're looking for a good headphones with good audio quality-DONT BUY THIS If you just want a cheap headphone to just listen to some music and don't much care then buy this. But really you should just shop around for a better pair of headphones...I wish I had. On a positive note it came pretty fast.Read full review

I like these headphones for their, comfort, light weight and good fit. I have better sounding, much more expensive headphones but I use these at times when i'm not seeking perfection. They're great as a back up. Good lows and crisp highs. They have a superior quality cord not found on most headsets in this price range.

These are an inexpensive set of fairly good quality Sony headphones. They work well with my Sony products and on my Behringer Xenyx audio mixer the volume control cannot be set at much more than 9 or 10:00 without becoming uncomfortably loud. I can wear them for hours comfortably during late-night college study sessions so as not to disturb my housemates' slumber. The ear cushions have shown no sign of deterioration, but as time goes on, we will have to watch that. I think these headphones would be ideal for a low-budget recording studio, as starter units.

I don't know how the other reviewer make the claim that these aren't Sony brand, but knockoffs? They are listed on Son'y website as a current product. They sound good. Not super great, but certainly good. They are cheap, fairly comfortable, and if/when they break, I'll buy 1 or 2 more. Decent quality, disposable headphones. Exactly what they are advertised to be.

I was looking for a set of headphones that were inexpensive yet would furnish the listener a quality sound. Sony products for the most part have a great reputation so I decided to try this headphone. The price was certainly low enough and the materials used in making this set was about what I expected but the quality of the sound is great and I really liked the cable because it was not a tiny short one. I'm not sure I would call these Professional because when I see the word 'Professional' I tend to expect a true high end product complete with a high end price. whj4548
I am using them right now. My son had let me borrow his, and I like the sturdy ample cord. The sound quality is great and the headphones are comfortable. The plastic around the headphones can easily break if you are not careful to adjust them right before you ease on. (another one of mine broke on right side) That is it's weakest part. If you take care, they are great for the price. And they fit perfect in a little box. My new one had 2 different fitting ends. I recommend them.
Been using the Sony MDR-V150 Professional Headphones as Recording Studio monitors. So far everybody likes them, even opting out of the much more expensive custom molded in-ear monitors. They are indeed very light and comfortable for long wear. They are very responsive, very good linear bandwidth and offer great ear insulation. It's probably the best bang for the buck you can get. One important feature is that the headphones do not leak out to the microphones; that's very important in a studio environment.
im using these headphones with an electronic drumset...i got a great deal on two of them. i thought that they were gonna sound average giving the low prices even brand new but i was blown away...now they dont sound like a $300 pair of AKG's or anything but they do have supprisingly great lows and crisp highs...wonderful sound overall...havent tried them out for recording/mix & mastering but they seem like they will be pretty good all around....my only beef is i wish the ear cups were larger and completely covers the ear...but they are still very comfortable...buy em they're cheap, well made, great sounding...get some
