Product Information
The Canon camera lens extender is ideal for using when photographing nature or sporting events, as it doubles the focal length of any compatible Canon EF lens, with very little distortion around the edges. Featuring an anti-reflective internal construction, the Canon EF extender has a seven-element design. If the lens used has an f/2.8 or faster maximum aperture, the extender supports auto focus with any EOS body. With 2.0 magnification, the Canon camera lens extender has dimensions of 2.8 inches (7.1 cm) diameter by 2.3 inches (5.8 cm) in length. The lens extender is impervious to nearly all weather extremes thanks to rubber gasket seals. The Canon EF extender has II teleconverters that are fully compatible with a number of EF lenses. Replacing the previously very highly regarded EF 2.0x extender, the Canon camera lens extender is an excellent addition to the professional photographer’s equipment collection. Economical focal length lens extender
Economical focal length lens extender. You just have to have the right lens to use it. Compatibility is limited to certain models. If you have one of those, the extender is handy and takes up less room than another longer lens. Does what it should, doubled your compatible lens
Cuts f stop speed in half so if your fastest f stop is 2.8 it will now be f4 or less. While it doubles your compatible lenses focal length say 100mm to 200mm. It’s built well and is weather resistant.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

This extender is in mint condition; as written up. I used this with my Canon 100-400 lens on my EOS R Mirrorless Camera with the adaptor lens mount and my pictures were sharp and crisp while hand held. Can’t wait to put this on my tripod. Appreciate the nice Canon quality and function of this 2X extender!
While this 2X does not make my 70-200mm 2.8 L lens equal to an authentic 400mm L lens, it performs a bit better than I expected, and it enables me to pack a lot of flexibility into a small shoulder bag I can actually carry where I want to go. Maybe more important, that flexibility came at a price I could actually afford. Doesn't work well with all ef lenses

70mm-200 mm f 2.8
The 2x extender allows me a longer additional lens without the larger additional bulk of a lens which would be hard to carry and deal with, my zoom ( 70-200mm f2.8) with the extender attached is just as sharp and gets me out there where I want to be quickly. Full Moon
I was using a Canon 7D and I use a100mm x 400mm lens @ 400mm and a 2x II extender and a 2x III extender and a 1.4x II extender and the moon was a little bigger then the image now I use a 6D full frame Canon and with my 100mm x 400mm @ 400mm I use a 2x II extender and a 2x II extender and a 2x III extender to get the moon a little bigger then the image and I use auto focus in live view and it gets sharp photos if there was a place to post the image to show you I woodVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
