Better than OEM, but not by much.
GMC OEM and all the manufacturers of this part use wire that does not hold up to continued use. I have replaced this part on my 2004 GMC Sierra HD three times. Twice with a Dorman part and once with the GMC OEM. Did not matter! The wire is threaded down the steering column and bends every time you shift out of park and every time you adjust the steering wheel. Totally a bad design, but the Dorman lasted two years longer than the GM factory part. If it goes again I am going to wire a push button and put it on the dash,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Dorman fixs it well. Chevy Cruise Control did not work.
This product was affordable and easy to install. I works as it is designed. Inside the steering column of some Chevy trucks the cruise control wires break. This product replaces everything and fixes the problems. See photos of what Dorman fixes.

Close but not right.
