If you think all power comes out of your wall outlet uniformly, wake up and feel the voltage fluctuations that your system has to cope with if you don’t have a power conditioner. This unit takes that power input and gives your devices a smooth and steady power supply that they will drink gratefully, and you in turn will enjoy their uncompromised performance and sound. Plus they will be protected from surges and spikes that could cause serious harm and leave you scratching your head, wondering why your cool gear has failed. This Furman unit enables having all outlets “switched” or some remaining “unstitched,” a nice feature. It also has a dimmable display (in audiophile blue light) so the meters won’t distract from your home theater setting if you’re using it nearby. I bought a Power Wedge 113 years ago,it was okay. It seemed to starve Power to my speakers. But when I hooked up the Furman, WOW..I noticed the improvement immediately. The music comes from a dense darkness background. This unit really improves dirty AC in line. And what's really good, is the 2 meter's that you can read from the front. Great power management for your system.
This is a great piece for Home Theatre and Audio! Furman is hands down the best at what they do, take comfort in the brand and what they do. Definitely heard more impact and volume initially. So much so that I had to re run my Audessy room correction to balance things out. This made a big difference in clarity and detail. Did not experience a notable improvement on the video however but can take comfort in knowing it's as good as can be, protected, and no harm is being done regarding video degradation.
