Intel Core i7-3939K 3.2 GHz Six Core Processor performs up my expectations. Installed it into a D-X79PLUS with LGA2011 Socket, with Intel stock cpu fan and 32 GB of DDR3 1600 ram memory. No problem with over heating!! Very nice for video editing!!

Very fast considering its age. Can game fairly well, even in 2020. 6 cores, 12 threads and 12MB of L3 cache, with a decent base clock of 3.2GHz. This chip is nothing to scoff at and very impressive for 2011. If X79 motherboards weren't so expensive, this CPU would be a great deal. My advice is to look for motherboard/CPU bundles.

I know most people are not interested in long stories so I’ll try to make this one short. I can sit here and nag about my bad experience of purchasing from the wrong person trying to save a few bucks and got screwed. Lockley I got my money back and ended up spending more than I was hopping but as far as the processor goes it is a little beast. It’s quite powerful; just make sure the rest of the hardware can keep up. It’s definitely a better buy over the 3.3 version because it’s the same processor and overclocks the same way so why spend hundreds more? Hope my 2 cents help someone.
Don't hesitate if you have need for the six core vs four . In my video editing rig this thing screams and chews up whatever task you give it.

If you want a good, reliable 6-core processor - this is as good as any other really. If you don't push it too hard with overclocking, it's a reliable performer at a good price point (though new ones now are nearly impossible to find, but used ones can be had relatively inexpensively).

Simply one of the best CPU's there is and for the power to still be high up in the benchmarks makes that easy to rely on.

Just got to put this in my system after buying it a year ago but man is it good. Overclocked from 3.2 to 4ghrz barely adjusting voltage! Has high idle temps but low load very strange. 46-52 idle 73-78 load. Using hyper 212 Evo with two fans.

Cannot complain for $52.00. Easily running at 4.6 with a -.06 offset on a simple 212 black edition. Best money I have spent on a CPU yet. It's a shame that the motherboards cost so much.

This lad is with me since 2013 and nowaday’s still a galloping horse regarding performance!! It’s a must-have! Running at 4.4Ghz with air thermal cooling, keeping it all simple, he moves quickly, it’s stable, runs like a pro, handles extreme graphic games, adobe intensive rendering apps, Win10 is piece of cake, video encoding is super ....... and all in between. Needless to say more.

I had the I7-3820 four cores and thought at these prices I would go for more. Installed and works great and should future proof my set up .
