get it while it's available!
Before I extol the virtues of this amazing pack, being a little bit of a pessimist, I'll raise some minor negatives and then boom on!
If you do get the pack, don't be afraid to wander into the Kathmandu retail outlet to get assistance with setting this baby up for maximum comfort - this is recommended in the instructions - and while it can be done solo, is so much easier with a second pair of knowledgeable hands on task.
It does say that it's a 70l pack...but it does seem a little smaller than that...and it is a tad hefty and maybe a hassle for the more slender of the species... ( when loaded )
On the flip side...while it's on sale now...AMAZING VALUE!!!
The wheeled application is amazing and only recommended for smooth surfaces like airports, hotels and the such...and once the pack is set up for back packing, it's very comfortable indeed! No need for me to "bang on" as all you have to do is search out some of the You Tube clips on this baby.
There is one reviewer in a hostel operating it in quite a heavy handed manner, but I wouldn't advise that...but it does show that it can take some knocks.
Wheel failure seems to be an issue, but I suspect that toting a 15 - 20kg pack along cobbled streets or up and down stairs and kerbs won't be doing this item any favours and there are no spares for when the wheels fail...so...take care of it!
But it's a good looking pack, does what it should, is sturdy, well made and comfortable and while on sale right now, is astonishing value for this type of pack!
