This is a very clever product. Using a socket wrench makes for a much smaller footprint tool which is easier to store. Also, one can use a variety of breaker bars with the tool depending on leverage needed. the one downside is that on some cars the hinge design makes it difficult to use, but tha tis no fault of the tool which works in a majority of door designs.

After restoring a 1973 K20, I was struggling on getting the passenger side door adjusted properly. Bought this tool after trying other means. After spending around 15 minutes using this tool, the closes as if it new. Excellent tool and very easy to use. Compact size for easy storage.

I used to work in Body shops and have used a number of unconventional methods involving 2x4's, long steel bars, and floor jacks. I have adjusted hundreds of car and truck doors. The Steck 21845 Door Aligning Bar is an awesome tool and a very good value especially if you have welded on hinges (lots are now). I use the Steck door tool on a 24" breaker bar and put a cheater pipe on that. So far I have adjusted 3 Chevy Suburbans (drivers door) and they are usually tough to do, but very easy with this tool. If you have a door sagging down this tool will allow you to move it back up so it opens and closes like it should.
