Bought an EOS M with the lens adapter with the view to using my existing EOS lenses, however found them to be a bit slow and noisey on the EOS M especially in the movie mode. Got this lens and it works great, typical Canon EOS quality, very clear and fast aperture. Very small and compact. Once fitted the camera not much bigger than a compact but packs a SLR punch. Only wish it AF a little quicker on movie but not a deal breaker! Will be searching out the other STM lenses now!!
This lens is super sharp with great contrast. An absolute bargain for the EOS-M system. Works great for macro too. The only criticism I have is that the manual focus ring is not manual. It communicates your intention electronically which is slow, annoying and unnecessary.
