I just love this book so much for all of the great devils and monsters contained inside. This was when D&D was not scared to push boundaries with the first appearance of the Aboleth,the sultry Glasya(Princess of Hell)and the Modrons. What a strange group of creatures they were with a sphere,rectangle,pyramid and cube it is too bad there was not a Icosahedron d20. Really weird stuff. The nostalgia of the book brings back such vivid memories of my youth and days gone by. Plus this copy of the book was 10 out of 10 with crisp clean white pages and that great old book smell that a PDF just does not have.
Is an excellent resource/reference not only for old D&D but can be used for details and providing additional creatures not found in 5e.

I bought this because it contains stats of some of the arch-devils and demon princes that did not subsequently appear in Planescape publications. Though most of the other beasties did appear in second edition publications, it's still nice to have, as the artwork of the monsters is often superior to the second edition picture.
Though like most sequels, it doesn’t and probably couldn’t match the first MM, it almost effortlessly outshines Fiend Folio, and that cover!
