OEM Product Upgrade At A Great Price!
Easy replacement module to enable my 2016 Ford F-150 to have CARPLAY utilizing my iPhone. Simply use a cheapie plastic auto trim kit tool, remove the old outdated module, unplug the two wiring plugs, plug them into the new module, and insert updated module. Fantastic product at a better price than I could obtain locally. Don't forget to update your software in your SNYC 3 system to the new 3.0 version.

I now have CarPlay in my Ford Edge (2016), which only came with the Sync 3 system but too early for CarPlay to be included. Installation took about 10-20 minutes and was easy to follow the YouTube video I found. Definitely recommend this for anyone trying to add CarPlay to their Ford.

Worked on my 2016 Expedition
This module, when used in conjunction with the software update, enabled Apple Carplay while maintaining Android Auto in my Sync 3 equipped 2016 Expedition. The only difficult part was removing the original module which required a set of interior pry tools, some brute force and good luck. If Apple Carplay is important to you, this is a much cheaper option for upgrading vs changing out the infotainment system or getting a newer vehicle that already has it equipped.

Works Perfectly
I replaced the old media hub in my 2014 Ford Fusion with this after upgrading to SYNC 3, and now I have Apple CarPlay. Both USB ports are fully functional and it works great. I’d completely recommend this. One of the attached pictures makes the light look white, but they are blue.

Worth it!
I bought a 2016 Ford Escape that had sync installed in it. I really wanted to have Apple CarPlay but my cars technology was antiquated. I had to upgrade from sync 3 version 1.0 to sync 3 version 3.0. Also had to replace the factory usb plugins for this updated version. It worked like a charm and was really easy to replace the usb plugins.

Insanely Simple, No Brainer Upgrade
Grab one of these parts, they're super affordable and anyone can install it.It takes about 5 minutes to install (literally 2 plugs, no fuses or anything), requires no setup or systems resets, and immediately gives you access to Apple CarPlay. CarPlay will give you access to way more apps than Ford AppLink (including Apple and Google Maps) and the interface is snappier and more organized than Sync 3.
