Apple infrastructure makes Nano great.
The Apple Nano costs a lot compared to other players, but makes up for it in ease of use. Plugging it in once a day to my computer loads it with my favorite podcasts easily and quickly, the time saved making p for the purchase price over the five years I expect it minimally to function. I also find its FM radio to be a delight for listening to sports, all the major teams being on FM. I like the touch screen and think it superior to the old mechanical switches. There still are switches for adjusting volume and pausing playback plus a pushbutton to turn off the display. Turning off the display during use extends battery life a lot and the switches for volume/pause mean you don't need the display on. I also own an iPod Touch which I use as a small tablet, primarily, rather than as a "player". The Nano's smaller size plus the radio makes a big difference to me.

This iPod has very low battery life. Also, the earphones would not connect into iPod although they worked well with iPhone. Yes, easy to use if you don't mind purchasing blue tooth headphones, since there is obviously a bad port.

Small, long life, good features
I love the new bluetooth functionality to connect to wireless speakers or my car. Besides that, it is just as useful and functional as the previous versions. It is small, lightweight, good sound quality, long battery life, and simple interface. The only bad thing about it is that it's an Apple product, so they lock down and tasks they don't want you to do, even if they are simple to execute.

My favorite iPod
In my opinion this is the best of the Apple iPods. It is easy to use, the side button controls play/pause and volume. The radio is a great feature along with the exercise and video functions.

Slightly disappointed
I bought this for my Special Needs son that I do not want access to the internet. As I was loading songs on it I figured out that I can’t take the previous owner’s name off it. Plus it doesn’t turn off, it only “sleeps” & as it is “sleeping” it drains the battery and then I have to charge it again. Now I know why Apple totally reinvented their iPod to the present day one.

Product good, and better had I read the directions first. Duh . . .
I put down yes for battery life, but I haven't had it long enough to really analyze it. I had a Nano 7th generation before I ruined it, so I was pretty knowledgeable about the way it works. After getting off to a rough start with it (I didn't read the handy directions you sent) it finally started working right after the battery had charged up enough.

Lightweight and easy to use
I like the 7th gen nano because it is small and easy to carry while running. it also has a fitness app that tracks my time, distance, etc. I like it better than using my phone for music because it doesn't drain my phone battery and it doesn't use up my phone data storage.

I ordered this because of it's compact size, storage, and price. The size is perfect for throwing in a purse or wristlet, and it hasn't been a nuisance when I work out, as some of the bigger ones are. I would definitely purchase another one, but I probably won't need to for quite a long time, as apple products are extremely reliable!
