Good magnification, good brightness, nice for the price. One real problem: inadequate eye relief, especially when set to the higher power. At 60X, you just about have to have your eye touching the lens to get a full view. Since Simmons makes rifle scopes, where adequate eye relief is an absolute requirement, no excuse - they know how to do it, but saved money on this spotting scope by eliminating some of the additional lenses. Cheaper ain't always good.

Spotting scope is entry level which is what I had the budget for at the time. The tripod however is complete garbage!! There is absolutely no way to make minor adjustments. It's very flimsy and wobbly. I plan on getting a better tripod for it

I haven't used many spotting scopes. But where many options are hundreds of dollars and I'm thrifty I wanted something sub $100. This seemed to have the best reviews under $100 so I gave it a try. I got done with my 1st range day with it and I'm happy to report it's well worth the money. It's extremely clear and bright and the magnification is plenty. I got an adapter to put my phone on the eyepiece. Zoomed in to 60x looking at a target at 100 yards the paper fills most of the view and you can clearly see the holes and fine details. The tripod it comes with is much smaller/shorter than it looks in the photos but I suppose it would work. I used a normal camera tripod I had laying around since the scope takes a normal 1/4" tripod stud.

I received my simmons 20-60x60mm spotting scope before Christmas of 2015. Haven't been able to use it outside because of the weather but I set it up inside and pointed it out a window about 200 - 250 yds and it brought things in crystal clear. I ordered it to spot targets about 100 yds away with a .22 marlin M60, 9mm carbine hi-point also AR-15's. After reading the reviews I also bought a different tripod because the one that comes with it is junk. I would recommend the scope (not the tripod).

I am using this spotting Scope at the range (200 plus yards) and it works well for that. Three hundre still can see the target hits and after the 350 yard mark it's still sightable but after that range it gets to a lil difficult but can do with shoot and See targets,if using other paper targets no bueno!

Fast shipping and good optics for the price , looks like new and for those complaining about the optics I have seen some that were 3 to 4 times more expensive that are virtually the same clarity . Unless you are spending big bucks for top quality you really cant get much better . If it lasts 10 years for the money I will be happy as a pig in mud.

Great product for watching the deer in the hay fields on the farm. Haven't used it hunting. Tripod a little shaky.

Have used the scope a bit. Seems to be pretty clear, focuses well. The tripod is a little on the see side but does its job well enough. Overall, I'm pleased. Just realize this is not a high-end scope or tripod.
