Some things we have to learn the hard way. One should read the ads carefully. I missed the fact that they were untested and that there was no return on the sale so of course they didn't work. They wouldn't take a charge, but I discovered it was due to faulty batteries. I swapped batteries with the broken pair these were meant to replace and so ended up with a working unit.
