It's too shallow
It is too shallow. The ones that I had in the tank were about double the depth so if some leaves and stuff get in the bottom during a heavy rain the water will still strain through the top section of the sides. With this one, if the bottom gets covered, there is very little side wall area for the water to get through. I never noticed a depth of the strainer when I purchased it... other than that it looks like good quality. I purchased 2 of them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
