    Major League Coffeemaker

I had a reliable and long lasting Braun coffeemaker that I finally had to part with. I wanted a brewer that just made coffee, no clock or timer or burner, just a simple coffeemaker that utilized an insulated carafe. The Bunn BTX-B has reservoir with two carafe's of hot water, which greatly cuts down on brewing time. In about 3 minutes I have hot coffee and it makes great coffee. I could ask for a better replacement for my old Braun. I would definitely recommend this coffeemaker.

    What's that smell?

I have used Bunn coffee makers for two decades without problems, but lately I have to ask, "what happened?" Bunn coffee makers are fast and easy to use, the concept is great, but the ones I have bought lately have an electrical, burning rubber-like smell that is unacceptable. The water stays hot in these units all the time, sort of like mini water heaters, but after mine heated up to operating temperature, it started to emit a nauseating smell that wafted throughout the whole house. i don't know if it is the plastic on the top of the unit or something internal, but I had to send it back. Sorry Bunn, somethings changed, and it smells.

  • Perfect

We always loved our Bunn and now the one with the carafe certainly adds a sense of security to our household. Out house has both day shift and night shift workers so the coffee is always ready and no worry about warmer on and a fire. Hint to make sure you temper the carafe with hot water before you start the brew cycle to keep coffee hot longer. Bought another for a gift loved it so much and easy to clean.

  • Best and fastest.

I owned the previous generation of this and the machine was great then,, producing really great filter coffee in record time. If you paid attention to roast date and grind you could get nearly pour over quality. I owned it for years and the only issue I ever had was a minor internal gasket, easily repaired. The new models thermal carafe, provided you prewarm it, keeps the coffee really hot for hours without cooking it over a burner. I was surprised to how hot it stayed and was still good coffee. Operation is easy enough to do in your sleep. Cleaning is emptying the filter basket and putting it and the carafe in the dishwasher. My brother in law got one for Christmas 2019. From me.

  • Best coffee pot I've owned . Number one for me

Had a little trouble understanding the directions as to how to get started , Once that was behind me I was making coffee in less than three minutes. The coffee is very good. You must keep the coffee pot plugged in all the time to keep the water in the hoding tank hot and ready to go whenever you want to make another pot of coffee. Hope this helps someone who is on the fence whether to buy this or not. I still amazed at how fast it perks a pot of coffee

  • Great coffee pot.

We have used French Presses, and other type coffee makers. For ease of operation, cleanup, and quickness, the Bunn is so much better than the other types. I highly recommend you try this coffee maker if you are in the market for a new coffee maker.

  • Best home brew coffee maker!

I love this coffee maker. It makes a pot super fast (3 min) and having the thermal carafe I don't have to worry if I left it on. No warming element. Plus keeps coffee hot for at least 2 hours. In my house the coffee never lasts longer that 2 hours so not sure how long it keeps it hot. The higher price is worth it to get the quality of a Bunn.

  • Fast and Delicious

This is a FULL cycle review......I owned 2 previous Bunn coffee makers, over a 20 year period... always loved the speed and taste of the brew. But on a visit to Europe two years ago, well visiting my wife's niece and nephew.... fell in love with a Delongi Perfecta ESAM 5400. Bean-to-cup machine, very rich , very strong. So I came home and sold my 10 year old Bunn, (for half of what it cost new) and purchased the new machine. It was expensive ($3000) but great. Shortly after purchasing it, I ended up with heart palpitations...after careful review and collaboration with my physician, we determined it was the caffeine content which was so high (7000mg daily) in the coffee that I ended up selling it...(and no more palpitations)...I then bought a Ninja coffee house ($300) loved Sofía Vergara in the infomercial...but never got one good cup of coffee from that machine (on the bar it sits..) ...so bought the single serve Keurig ($125, not bad but very expensive for the pods...so I bought a better model Keurig ($250) and refillable pods. Each cup required one pod or 1 heaping tablespoon. Coffee taste...tolerable, but so so ...Then one day, two coffee buddies stopped by for a lengthy visit..so after jumping up and refilling pod after pod and watching my one KG Folgers coffee go down by 1/3 after one morning I got online and ordered my BUNN again...and hence...FULL cycle...long boring, but true story...so if you read reviews... save yourself tons of money and aggravation...and buy a BUNN....I am SO happy to have my BUNN back and so are my coffee buddies, (they claim best tasting coffee they have here in two years) ... BEST coffee maker hands down for the money, dependability, and taste. Hope this review helps you make a good coffee machine purchasing decision.

  • lower quality

The material used to make this new model seem cheaper , for the price I would expect something that stands up to the reputation of the coffee maker. I like the look and quality of the previous bun. Someone found a way to make them cheaper for sure. Not as easy to fill and the coffee strainer seems thinner . I am just not impressed with the look or quality . I don't think it brews as fast as my other one , but still ok or maybe just the fact I was disappointed with the product manufacturing .

  • Fast cup of good coffee!

Love this coffee maker. I use it to brew one really fast cup. I hardly ever use the carafe. When I do use the carafe it keeps the coffee hot for a long time and I don't need to worry about forgetting to turn off a coffee warming burner with those glass pots. This is my second coffee maker like this. The first one lasted about 10 years even though I didn't do all the recommended maintenance/cleaning.
