After a good setup this guitar is truly awesome. You won't be disappointed for the price you pay.
As with any guitar a good setup is needed and once done you'll be amazed at what this Mustang will do. I might add a bone nut and possibly some hot pickups that would cost more than the guitar. That said, I don't think it's possible to get more for the money. The neck is virtually unfinished, making it extremely smooth to slide and 24" scale very comfortable for smaller hands. Also with 22 frets it will suit all but the most demanding guitarist. Individual saddles work great but may be difficult to re-string since it's thru-body but despite that it sustains very well. A little fret polishing wouldn't hurt or maybe playing more will do the trick. I set the action low, but have no buzz issues at all. I would recommend if you are looking for a great guitar at a fraction of the price. The only thing I would like better would be a maple fretboard.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice guitar - playable out of the box, or a project
Nice looking guitar. Really comfortable and light. The frets ends can use some work. I painted the headstock and added a decal. Also switched out the white pick guard with a tortoise shell one. Plan to add covers for the humbuckers.

Rock n' Roll Machine! Although the guitar arrived from factory (Indonesia) out of the box with a bridge that was not aligned, Fender agreed to switch the guitar out for another one at no charge. I love the white on white and it's the best colour for lighting on stage. As far as intonation, the bridge screws may need to be shortened so they are not touching the string(s). An upgrade to locking tuners like Hipshot™ will keep this axe in tune. Lots of mods available for this guitar. Best inexpensive guitar on the market!
