Whisper quiet air purifier.
I was a bit sceptical over what this relatively expensive item actually does. But my asthmatic wife loves it in our bedroom on all night - so it must be OK ! Seems well-made, with optional hi-tec filter-screens + easy assembly instructions from the booklet provided - [In English for a change.] The quiet "sleep mode" and the constant air quality "sampling function" on the 'Philips 1000' is appreciated. It seems to lessen overnight oders - as this one has an extra carbon HEPA filter. Definitely pays to shop around for spare filters, as prices can be higher at original POS. It would pay to calculate the cubic meter of the area to be covered before buying. Overall a great success popularity-wise; heath-wise - no evidence yet. Personally I would like to inspect the filters for dust etc in 2-3 months and make a judgement then. The jury is still out on this item
When I first began to use it it was good (it quickly wnet to blue - good air quality level) although it did not make a difference to my sinus problems. Now it keeps showing a Blu/Violet light color which is moderate clean even after having the machine on for 1.5 days. Reading the instructions it tells me that I may need to clean the air quality sensor. However, I have had it only for a few weeks and that seems to me very quick. I have recommended this product to many of my friends. It is that good. It is compact so an easy fit in my home.
I am so happy with this air purifier. I have stopped having sinus issues. I had an ongoing problem with a "frog in my throat" which just doesn't happen any more, hooray, no more constantly clearing my throat to speak. Loving it!
I'm loving my Philips air purifier. The night mode is extremely quiet, and during the day it only gets noisy when the air quality is bad, but the noise doesn't last long. I actually appreciate hearing it because it then alerts me that the air is not good at that moment.
