Ammonium chloride when extracted in process is used as a nitrogensource in fertilizers. It is also used as glue to attached two plywood and additives to textile dyeing and leather tanning. Furthermore, it can be used as an electrolyte for the production of dry-cell batteries and ingredients for fireworks/pyrotechnics and as a curing agent in formaldehyde-based adhesives.
Great for male goats prone to urinary bladder stones
Great for male goats prone to urinary bladder stones. Tastes terrible, but mine will eat it mixed in Speedi-Beet with some apple juice added. Keeps the urine more acidic so stones less likely to form. Make sure you stop feeding concentrates (grain/muesli) as this is what really contributes to causing the problem in the first place.
Mine was shipped to me in Australia, and opened by customs. Presumably they tested it to be sure if it wasn't illicit drugs! As a white powder, guess it's a good idea...
