NotesLimited 180 gm vinyl LP pressing. Digitally re-mastered edition of the British Rock quartet's fifth studio album, originally released in 1973. Containing some of the band's most famous songs, including 'The Song Remains the Same', 'The Rain Song' and 'No Quarter', HOUSES OF THE HOLY became a huge success, and was certified eleven times platinum by the RIAA. In 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music. The band has sold more than 300 million albums worldwide with a celebrated catalog. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Page brought in Plant, Bonham and Jones to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released it's self-titled debut. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest Rock band in the world.

  • Just okay

Now don't get me wrong, the music is great. Probably my favorite Zeppelin record. However I'm not impressed with this pressing. I could hear noise when I dropped the needle on the record before the music started. On a new record it should be dead quiet before the music. I have a Technics 1210 MK2 with a newer Shure m447. It's not my system. Other new vinyl I play is quiet.

  • I only own six Led Zeppelin albums. This one was a "must have".

Of all the great songs on this album, the track I enjoy listening to the most is The Rain Song. If you're not familiar with it, you should be. It is nothing short of art for the ears.

  • Houses of the holy again.

I could have bought this reissue when it came out, but like a lot of others, I wondered why Jimmy Page didn't do these in all analogue. Anyway, I never had Houses of the holy on Lp, but I did on 8 track tape, so from what I can remember, and this is all I had to compare this new reissue with. To me the 8 track sounded perfect. Now for the 2014, everything sounds more clear, more detailed, it has deeper sounding bass that's more prominent throughout, the vocals stand out nice and clear, occasionally being bright, but that could be because of it being digital and or because my stylus is not fully broken in, but other than that, I would say that this 2014 reissue that Jimmy Page remastered is a good solid copy. My copy is the EU, pressed at Optimal Media Germany. I would pick up a copy if you don't already have a decent one.

  • Houses of The Holy Vinyl

Very nice high-quality album. This is the re-release of houses of the holy and will fit greatly with the rest of my Led Zeppelin collection. Hope to one day passes down to the next generation without playing.

  • Classic

Not one of Zeps finest works but the first 3 tracks r Zep masterpieces. The rest still better than average, but maybe recorded 2 quickly and was The Crunge the first rap song?
