  • Where has this oven been all my life?

What a simple, yet functional item. It must be a great addition to any camper but, I am using it in my house on top of my stove, rather than putting on my big oven just to make 6 corn muffins or something small like that. I put it over one burner and it heated up to 400 in about 7-10 minutes. The inside rack can be put in 3 positions as you can see in the picture. On my first attempt, I put the rack in the top position and baked corn muffins. They didn't brown but were moist and delicious in just 15 minutes time. Next time out, I'll put the rack (and the muffin tray) in the lower position. This thing is so versatile and, will be economical for house use since, I won't have to be putting on my "gas guzzling" oven for small items. I went to Youtube and found a bunch of videos showing what other people are cooking in this. Hey, one guy baked a small loaf of bread in it! Amazing. My only complaint is the assembly. There are 4 nibs on each side panel that have to slip into the top flap and the bottom flap of the oven and, after the first use, I found it very difficult to get them all to attach again. Perhaps the heat from the previous usage warped the bottom panel.

  • Good Camp Oven

Good and solid once you get the knack of getting all the sides in the clips. Folds and unfolds easily and quickly. The thermometer on the front is only a guidline as it depends where you put the shelf. If you want to be sure of the temperatures use an oven thermometer on the shelf till you get used to it. We have an older caravan with just a grill and burners and go wild camping without mains power, so this added a new dimension for cooking without taking up lots of space when not in use. Great for heating pies and pizza (with a cut down pizza stone on the shelf to stop the base burning). Take and bake bread works well, but needs turning over half way during cooking. Well worth paying the shipping and duty compared to paying for a gas camping oven.

  • Double wide would be better, but works great. Aluminum version best.

This product is solid, works, and does what it says. It requires a Coleman (or other brand) camp stove or butane stove to work, it has no heat source of its own. It is basically a metal box, with door, shelf, and thermostat, that can also fold up to a few inches thick for storage. While invented for camping (and it works quite well for camp cooking requiring an oven), most people these days are not that fancy in their camp cooking. (Who wants to slave all day in the camp kitchen, when you can be out hiking, etc.) But it works and works well if you are into that level of culinary excellence in your camp outs. What is ALSO excellent for is small object heating of the home workshop DIY variety. I use them to heat and fire (set) power-coating of small parts that have been power-coated (or ultra-heat coat painted). Both power coat and high-heat paint need to be fired to set the paint or coat. You do not want to do that in your home cooking oven, but outside, on top of a Coleman stove works just great. That's why I wish they made a double wide version of the stove, to coat larger objects that won't fit in this small camp oven. The Coleman camp stove comes in two versions. The original, which was painted on the sides, and copper clad on the door, and the newer aluminum clad version. That aluminum clad version is far more resistant to rust that the painted version, so I think it is superior.

  • Great camping/emergency product

This oven is well built, while being easily portable. It is a great camping product, but also should be in everyone's emergency kit. Power out??? with this and any type of gas or propane cook top, bread, biscuits or any other baked goods are quickly available.

  • A great, easy stove.

Have a small motorhome that didn't come with an oven. The Coleman was a perfect substitute with easy set up, easily controlled temperature on the stove top and simply folded back down for storage. The hardest part was finding a pan to set on the included rack. Although exterior is about a 12 in square the opening is smaller and i recommend something around 10 x 10 or smaller. Highly recommend this amazing oven.

  • Coleman camp oven

Got our oven today (2-14 valentine's day) mixed up brownie mix, unfolded and assembled the unit, wiped with dish towel although the oven came clean and brand new, ready to use. Placed it on one side of my coleman propane stove, brought it slowly up to 350 degrees in a couple of minutes put brownies in the middle shelf . My wife and I had hot brownies and ice cream within 25 minutes. A great addition to the camp, looking forward to the biscuits, pastries, and many more recipes I have found on line. Folds away in seconds, built rugged, I notice that the hinges are built in as one piece to the sides assuring the oven will last for years to come. RS

  • Works great

Highly recommended. Used on top of my dual fuel coleman stove in cold weather reached 350 degrees F max. Fits on one burner space, compact. Takes about the same amount of cooking time as conventional oven. Walmart $0.98 pan fits fine. Great addition to our camp kitchen.

  • Coleman collapsible stove

This stove is great. It collapses down for easy packing and is sturdy. The only thing I've noticed is when using run the temp up about 20 degrees above what you want because when you put food in the temp drops about that much and holds there.

  • Just what we needed

This stove is so nice and easy to use we also cut a pizza stone to control temperature in side the oven and work very well

  • Lightweight, compact, bakes well

The oven heats up quickly and does a good job of baking. I highly recommend purchasing the ceramic plate to go between the baking goods and floor of the oven. It really helps keep the bottoms of baked goods from over-browning or burning.
