Faster than DriveSmart 7, but
Need a smartphone and Garmin Drive App to get live traffic is absurd! Why l need this Garmin if I still need this? Why can’t l just use Google map to show traffic? Also, why Garmin’s GPS Navigators with LMT but without providing a GTM traffic/charging cord, forcing users to buy a very expensive life-feed traffic cord? The stupidity and greed of Garmin is way beyond my vocabulary to curse. This 66EX only improves with sharper pixel screen, faster calculation time, better female voice, but also gives you much higher temperature; maybe too high.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good GPS device for crows
The display is sharp. The unit quickly finds and connects to the satellite. This is my second 'newer' Garmin GPS, and there are some aspects of the older units I preferred. I have not warmed up to how the current units find addresses. With the older units, this was a step-by-step process, drilling down to the desired location. Now, I cannot select the state within which I want to search, and it spends time coming up with multiple possible locales based on street name similarities. BUT, here's the biggest, most troublesome aspect of this particular model...... I have two calculation modes only. One is faster time. The other is, of all things, straight line. Straight line???? Is Garmin targeting traveling crows? it is essentially a worthless calculation for a navigation device. Of course no travel time is given, since it is an unusable calculation. I want to be able to calculate and use "shortest distance" as the old units provided. Had I known this, I would not have purchase this particular model.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Overall happy but...
Like the voice command feature which lets me easily silence the GPS when I'm in my neighborhood but quickly and safely bring up voice direction when i' m in unfamiliar territory. Garmin never disappoints
I have been using a Garmin Street Pilot 3 that I bought probably 20 years ago and it still works great but it's big and clunky and you have to put everything in with a keyboard. So I thought it was time for an upgrade. Naturally I went with a Garmin and wasn't disappointed. Easy to use, nice bright screen, and best of all no more typing. It works well, I bought this for my girlfriend‘s car. She has normal eyesight between my driving glasses having to bring them off to see the GPS clearly not the GPS‘s fault. It has a hard time understanding me
