Blistering sharp and super portable
As a HEMA swordsman and keen bushcrafter a good sharping system is essential and I have a few sharping systems at home - the Fallkniven DC4 Diamond Ceramic Sharpening Stone has to be the best infield portable system I have ever used. Pocket friendly and more than effecent to keep my edges keen. I have used it in axes, swords, knives and just about ever steel type without complaint. I wouldn't recommend it for re-profiling but for touch ups and honing it's a ten out of ten from me. Do yourself a favour and buy one you won't regret it. RobVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

DC4 Stone - Can recommend
Great stone to throw in a pack that is capable of sharpening most modern steels containing vanadium carbides, as they require a substance such as diamonds to achieve a satisfactory result. Also great for axes, machetes, swords and anything where it is desirable to hold the object stable and move the stone instead of vice versa. Got my new Fiskars X7 razor sharp in only a few minutes! This stone coupled with a Lanksy "puck" style stone (in AUS a generic version costs ~ $10 found in the tools section of Bunnings) is a very powerful combination that can achieve a range of tasks from re-profiling a blade to honing the edge to razor sharp. Great portable knife sharpener. Seldom use the diamond side as the ceramic does the job in getting all my knives razor - like. However - food for thought to the manufacturers - providing a plastic stone holder would minimise the risk of possibly taking the top of your fingers off as the knives will get a really sharp edge.
