Tomcat Rat Poison works great. It kills any mice or rats that eat it but it must be used with caution to prevent pets or other animals that you don't want poisoned from also eating it. This 784g set of Tomcat blocks comes in a handy plastic bucket with a well sealed plastic lid. The problem is the plastic of the bucket and lid. After placing about 8 of the blocks in locations that would be accessible to rats and mice but not other animals, I re-sealed the lid of the bucket with the remaining blocks and placed it on a high shelf in my shed. The rats found the Tomcat baits so enticing that they chewed through the lid and bucket and helped themselves to the rest of the blocks inside. Yes, they died. It was likely their last meal. However, for safety this product should be in a metal container, like a paint can. OR there should be a warning on the plastic bucket that rats may eat through the plastic so care should be taken during storage. Read full review

Vermin love this product! I put a few blocks out to test the rats and mice response, next day all blocks gone and there was no movement thumpy sounds in my roof cavity and no visible signs of activity around the house or garage. Went to get a few more blocks for follow up and found that the rats had chewed through the lid of the container and had left two blocks behind out of the tub full! Any wonder there are no scampering sounds around at the momment. Have ordered more, 'Blox', to be prepared for the next invasion of rats and mice.

It works from Day one, the rats love them, they ate about 1-2 blocks per day. The bucket finished in about 10 days. I have ordered the 8 Kg bucket as well. Better value and last longer. It may be a little early to see, still have a lot activities at night, it may take time to be affective.

Had a mice and less so rat plague. Initially took a stack of bait blocks to get the plague under control... but once it did. have barely seen any evidence of mice or rats. Bait is permanently left out, but aside from the occasional evidence of nibbles. Barely going through a block of bait a week. Lets see how well it works this summer, when they are doing most of their breeding.

It just works. Leave the bowl of water nearby. As much as I don't like what it does to the rat, a trap with bacon rind works well and quick too. Its been a resident rat, so unfortunately had to go the extreme and get tomcat. The rat is dead. 🙏thanks Tomcat
